Yana Korobitsyna

Yana works at the Khabarovsk TV channel, focusing on crucial and impactful topics. She collaborates with charitable organizations, undertakes social media projects that shed light on the lives of people with disabilities, aiming to change perceptions, empower them to believe in themselves and and change society's perception of individuals with special needs. One of such projects, "Khabarovsk. Silnye Ludi" ("Khabarovsk. Strong People"), features inspiring stories from individuals with disabilities. Their documentary film "Pro Talantlivykh Detei ot ih Silnykh Roditelei" ("Talented Children From Their Strong Parents"), produced in October 2021, highlighted the First Children's International Inclusive Creative Games in Khabarovsk. In 2022, they made four social videos titled "Mir Glazami Ludei s Invalidnostiu" ("The World Through the Eyes of People with Disabilities"), supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. These videos garnered over 100,000 views on social media.

Yana also runs a program "Sotsialnyi Otvet" ("Social Response") focusing on social rights. The program includes episodes on communication etiquette with individuals facing various forms of disabilities, covering wheelchair users, those with hearing and vision impairments, and individuals with mental differences. Her work continued to make an impact in 2023 with the release of the documentary film "Chelovek v Krasnom" ("The Man in Red"), confronting the issue of bullying among disabled individuals in the Khabarovsk region. Their dedication to handling personal stories with sensitivity, delivering top-quality dramatization, and utilizing compelling visual storytelling sets them apart. Recognized for their outstanding contributions, Yana received the esteemed Golden Pen Wward for the best journalist in the municipal media contest. Participant of the MIR Award 2022 in the category "Pro Dobro." In her view, sharing stories about challenges is a crucial step towards solving them, while sharing success stories contributes to inspiring new solutions, making them an advocate for positive change and progress.
