Passionate about art and a dedicated collector, Vera has been the director and co-founder of the ARKA gallery since 1995. Founded through private initiative, the gallery is driven by Vera's desire to showcase the capabilities of artists working in contemporary trends to the residents and visitors of Vladivostok. With a focus on popularizing contemporary art, the gallery features works by local, Russian, and international artists. As a gallerist, Vera sees her role in introducing the audience to the artist, sharing their extraordinary personalities, and uniting talented individuals. The gallery houses an impressive art collection with over 300 pieces. Actively involved in exhibition activities, ARKA participates in international fairs, non-profit, and charitable projects. It has showcased the works of renowned Russian and regional artists at international fairs such as "Art-Moscow," "Art-Forum-Berlin," "Art-Shanghai," "Art-Miami," "Art-Vienna," "Art-Paris," "DiVA Paris," "Art-Seoul" (KIAF), "Art-Pusan," the international Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale, the "Davai" exhibition of contemporary Russian art in Berlin and Vienna. Vera has been recognized with the prestigious title "Inventor of the USSR," the Badge of Distinction "For Merits to Vladivostok" (II degree), and is a recipient of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of the Republic of France. She is a firm believer that one must truly see a painting with the heart.
