
Mechtalёt is the first Far Eastern animation studio, born from the dream of creating stories through animated films. It was founded in 2018 by producers Vitaliy Ten and Ilya Kuznetsov, with Andrey Tkachyov as the artistic director and Kseniya Panova as the lead animator. The creators of the animated films draw inspiration from Asian culture, including Japanese animation and music, the history of China. All of this is reflected in the studio's cartoons, from character design to plot twists.
One of the studio's most famous works is an animated short film dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the regional center. On November 23, 2020, the the animated series "Back to Back" premiered on YouTube. This is a story of the backpacks who love to go on adventures when left unattended by the owners. The series quickly gained popularity and attracted a growing audience, becoming recommended content on YouTube. The project was also distributed to major online cinemas and TV channels in Russia.
This year, the animation studio began work on the animated series "Zveromiks," addressing teenage issues. They also began working on a full-length animated film depicting the Far Eastern explorer Gennady Nevelskoy. Mechtalёt aims to pass on its experience and train young artists in the art of animation.
