With her brother, Maria is involved in developing their own restaurant chains, catering, and marketing, drawing inspiration from the diverse gastronomy of different countries since childhood. Having started in 2009, Rakusa Group has successfully launched over 100 projects, pioneering the concept of gastronomic dinners and bringing a Michelin-starred chef from France. Their first venture, Vinoteka, is renowned for its extensive wine selection, placing among the top ten wine shops in Russia.

Among their diverse projects, there are establishments like Ryumochnaya offering homemade drinks and Soviet cuisine, the cozy coffee shop Bob, and the lively bar Pasta Na Bare, to name a few. Their restaurant of modern Russian cuisine, Dom, and the popular Millionka have both been recognized with the "Palm Branch of the Restaurant Business" award, while Echo has earned a spot in the list of recommended establishments on TripAdvisor.
