Alexander Gorodniy

Collector, gallerist, and art manager, is the founder and, until 2022, the permanent director of Artetazh Art Gallery. Since the early 1990s, he started collecting art objects, which he later generously donated to Vladivostok. During its existence, Artetazh has undergone several transformations in formats and locations, but its ultimate goal has always remained unchanged —to introduce the city's residents to contemporary art, support the artistic community of Vladivostok, and showcase the works of local artists. For more than 30 years, Alexander Gorodniy initiated numerous exhibitions featuring both local and international artists. He curated themed exhibitions, providing an opportunity to trace the evolution of various art genres and observe the essence of different generations of artists.
