Alena, fueled by her passion for Japan, has brought the flavors of Japanese cuisine to Vladivostok, captivating the city with her beloved venture. She challenges the notion that Japanese cuisine is only for the privileged, making it accessible to all at Tokyo, an affordable restaurant that beautifully blends Japanese and Far Eastern culinary traditions. With ten Tokyo restaurants scattered throughout Primorsky Krai, including Artem, Ussuriysk, and Nakhodka, Alena and her team aim to immerse Vladivostok residents in Japanese culture. Instead of replicating authentic Japanese dishes, they adapt Japanese cuisine to suit the tastes of their guests.
Since the opening of their first restaurant in 2008, Tokyo has solidified its place on Russia's gastronomic map, boasting individualized concepts and interior designs for each location, while retaining the beloved dishes that have won the hearts of their patrons. Introducing special novelties in line with each restaurant's identity, Alena's guiding principle remains clear: everything should be delicious: the interior, the atmosphere and the food.
